Sewell & Company,
PA Certified Public Accountants
"We have clients from Key
West to Tampa -- our move was critical for our growth. With Eden
Engineering we were up and running in one day with zero
problems." Tom Sewell, President
After acquiring a few
practices and growing its own business, CPA firm Sewell & Company
planned to relocate their offices. Twenty-two employees' workstations
and peripheral equipment needed to be moved to the new location about
one mile away -- but distance was not the issue. "The scary part was
taking all the computers down and wondering what was going to happen,"
said Tom Sewell, president of Sewell & Company. "It would have been
costing me about $1,000 an hour if we were not back up and running.
Computers are our lifeblood."
The move took place over a weekend. "Friday evening Eden Engineering
took down the network and by Monday we were rocking and rolling," said
Sewell. Additions were also made to the network during the relocation
project, including high speed printers and more workstations. "We now
have interoffice voicemail and a lot of new features that Eden
Engineering has put in for us that makes us more efficient."
Following the move, Sewell & Company continued to grow. "We moved from
2,000 sq. ft to 6,000 sq ft and we are already out of space. New
construction is under way and Eden Engineering is managing our network
growth for us. "We are growing our network now, and Eden Engineering
has been able to keep up with the growth."
Allied Healthcare Corporation
"Eden Engineering is doing
everything that we don't know how to do."
Greg Koscs, Treasurer and
Controller
Allied Healthcare Corporation is a provider of home healthcare services
in south Florida, with operations in three counties. They are currently
installing a fourth office, as they grow their business, which provides
home healthcare, skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational
therapy, medical social workers and home health aids - all in their
customers' homes.
"We have multiple WANs connecting our various locations. The main
functions of our network are patient charting, billing, accounts
payable, payroll and human resources applications, and although we are
very good at using applications, we really don't know what makes the
system run -- that is what Eden Engineering does for us. They have us
connected properly and everything up and running. Essentially they are
our technical staff," said Greg Koscs, treasurer and controller of
Allied Healthcare Corporation.
"We treat Eden Engineering as an extension of our staff," said Koscs
"which certainly takes us out of the loop of needing to understand
computers when what we do is healthcare - which is obviously the biggest
plus for us."
